HOLMES, Hazel Myrtle Peacefully with her family by her side, in hospital in Renfrew, on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, Hazel Thompson, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late John Holmes and the late Gerald Holmes by second marriage. Dear mother of Garry (Helen) of Almonte, Bill (Arlene) of Braeside and Linda Gibbs (Peter) of Ajax. Predeceased by daughter Ann Gault (Charles) and granddaughter Leigh-Anne Holmes. Dear sister of Gerald Thompson, Elsworth Thompson (Grace), Channel Thompson, Arnold Thompson, Faye Gilmore, Verna St. Aubin (Ivan) and Ray Thompson (Phyllis). Predeceased by sisters Elvira Shields, Erma Gauthier and Adina White. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Resting at the McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munro Ave. at Lorne, Renfrew on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the funeral will be conducted on Sunday at 1 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
