BRAULT, Nicole The angels were singing, snow was falling, and peace was in everyone's hearts on the most beautiful day of the year, Christmas. In the evening of this glorious day, Nicole Brault (nee LaHaie) chose to leave us to join the party waiting for her in Heaven. She lived a beautiful 60 years surrounded by her family and many many friends. Nicole's soulmate, partner in life and love, Andre Brault held her hand throughout the last 40 years. Her children, who were so close to her heart, Melanie Beecroft and Max Brault, along with her beloved son-in-law Kory Beecroft made her life full and brought her much joy. She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Diane LaHaie and Janik Leman, as well as by her entire extended family. The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. Wolch and all the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital, Palliative Care Unit - Your love, patience and kindness provided peace and solace for both Nicole and her family. A private ceremony will be held this week for the immediate family. A Life Celebration party will be held at the Pineview Golf Course, 1471 Blair Road, Ottawa, on January 14 from 1:30 to 4:30. All are welcome. Nicole has requested that in lieu of flowers or plants the funds should instead be used in inviting a loved one to a special night out to celebrate love and friendship. Alternatively, a donation can be made to one of 2 charities that were dear to Nicole's heart - the Canadian Diabetes Association and/or the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Society. Dance, laugh and be happy mom! We miss you lots already. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 12/31/2005
