Hingst: Erwin Charles Erwin Charles Hingst of Big Valley, Alberta passed away peacefully on April 4, 2005 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlyne, of 55 years and by his nine children, spouses, 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother (Fred), brother-in-law (Bernard Hendricks) and survived by four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law. Erwin, a mechanic by trade started his career in the towns of Rockyford, Vulcan, and Beisker and ran his own service station in Drumheller until his retirement. Erwin and Arlyne then moved to Big Valley after retirement, where he continued his love for fishing, camping and gardening. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2005 at 1:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (151-3rd Street West) Drumheller, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STARS, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or the Peter Lougheed ICU Unit (3500-26 Ave NE, Calgary, AB T1Y 6J4).
