Wynia: John Henry August 30, 1947 - May 23, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John on May 23, 2005, at the age of 57 years. John endured a long struggle with cardiac disease until his final and peaceful sleep at a place he loved to be, our camping get-a-way west of Caroline, Alberta. John was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle who devoted his time to "his girls." helping Deb and volunteering when he could with the Morrin Lions Club and the Morrin Fire Dept. He was proud that he recently helped Terry and Troy "put the crop in." He was also very proud of the accomplishments of his daughters, Corinna and Jenna and his soon-to-be son-in-law, Lee. John recently had a special visit from his son, Jeremy, who came from New Brunswick to spend time with his dad, sisters, and Deb. John loved to visit with his many friends and family, and in recent months, his special helpers with Home Care, Continuing Care, and Helping Hands. John is survived by his devoted wife, Deb; his loving children, Corinna (Lee), Jenna, Jeremy, Michael and Melony; his sisters, Theresa (Jim) Davidson, Anne Hyndman (Larry), Shirley (Bill) Rodgers; his twin brother Dick (Dorothy); his brother-in-law, Case deJong; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Gerben (Pete), mother Aaltina (Tina), and sister Raelena, and his father-in-law, Vern Riggs. He will be missed by all. Funeral Services were held on Friday, May 27 at the Morrin Community Hall. John?s final resting place is in the Morrin Cemetery. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home have helped with final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Drumheller Health Foundation (CT Scan or the Heart to Heart Program).
