Hunter: May Margaret 1914 - 2005 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, May Margaret Hunter on July 3, 2005 in Drumheller. May was born May 5, 1914 to Joseph and Agnes Adams in Burmis, Alberta. At a very young age the Adams family moved to the Drumheller Valley. May took all of her schooling here. On May 4, 1935 May married Alfred B. Hunter. They had three children, and May enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their children. May was a member of the Catholic Women?s League, choir member and a devoted parish member. One of May?s passions was the game of bridge, and she belonged to a bridge club, she also enjoyed flowers, gardening and was a wonderful baker. May loved to spend time with her family, and had a great sense of humour up to the end. "Good night and God Bless You Mom/Grandma" May leaves to cherish her memory son, Wilf (Paddy) Hunter of Drumheller, grandchildren, Jennifer Shaw, Christy Schmidt, Alf Hunter, great grandchildren, Sigourny Shaw, Pelly Shaw, Hunter Ann Schmidt, Christian Robert Schmidt, daughter, Elizabeth (Bren) Jones of Calgary, grandchildren, Bryn Jones, Jennifer Dorosh, Daniel Jones, great grandchildren, Clayton & Alexandra Dorosh, daughter, Mary Anne (Nelson) Vickers, grandchildren, Elizabeth Zacharuk, Camille Vickers, Erin Vickers, Cassandra Vickers, Blake Vickers, and Shawna (Monique); great grandchildren, Sydney, Peyton, and Cayden Zacharuk. May was predeceased by her husband Alfred B. Hunter in 1982, mother 1969, father 1932, and brother James. Prayer Vigil will be held July 7, Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, funeral mass will be held Friday July 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from St.Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, interment to follow in the Drumheller Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements. The Family of May Hunter wishes to thank the Staff of the Sunshine Lodge and the Drumheller Health Centre (Acute Care) for all of their care and compassion.
