Berna (Alfreda) Louise Davidson (née Ashdown) August 20, 1924 - December 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Quietly on December 24, 2005, Berna Davidson (nee Ashdown) slipped peacefully away. Hand in hand with her daughter Val and the staff at Cowichan District Hospital, Duncan, BC she was released to the angels. She was predeceased by husband Norm Davidson and her parents Bill and Claricie Ashdown. Her brother Ken who also passed away on September 1, 2005 was holding a candle to show her the way. Left behind to miss her feisty spirit is daughter Val Phelps; son Dennis and wife Belinda Sawatzky; grandchildren Sean and Jodi, Tyler, Devon, Tina and Stephen, and David; great-grandchildren Dallas and Damen. Also Peter and Eula Sawatzky, Violet Ashdown, Neal, Kathy, Shawn and Jordan Ashdown and Mark Ashdown. A very special thank you goes to Dr. Trevor Watson and the staff at Thrupp Manor in Kamloops. Even tho’ she will be sadly missed, we know that it is now her turn along with uncle Ken to entertain the angels. When uncle Ken isn’t giving golf lessons and mom isn’t redecorating, they will be exchanging jokes. We loved you both! A memorial service will be held in Melfort, Saskatchewan. Date to be announced.
