PETRIE, Winifred B. - It is with sadness that the family of Winifred B. Petrie announce her unexpected death September 8, 2003 at the age of 78. Win was predeceased by her husband A.R. (Pete) Petrie in 1979. Win is survived by a brother in Vancouver, Gordon (LeHuray) and his wife Elfie. Win also leaves four children, David and his wife Jane, Gordon and his wife Sheila, Susan (Lewis) and her husband Warren and Peter and his wife Shelagh. Missing "Nana" also, are her grandchildren Jennifer and Kate Petrie, Sarah and Kevin Lewis, and Dillon and Shannon Petrie. Winifred, in addition to being a wife and mother, spent many years teaching and was a member of the Torch Club. Visitation will be at Butler Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, 33 Duke Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday September 10, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
