INGALLS, JACK R. - At the Grand Manan Nursing Home, Monday November 24th, 2003, Mr. Jack R. Ingalls formerly of Grand Harbour, Grand Manan Island passed away, he was 71. Born in Grand Harbour, he was the son of the late Owen and Roberta (Wooster) Ingalls. Jack was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, enjoyed hunting and angling and was a great sportsman, he was a fisherman for most of his working life and operated fishing boats in the Bay of Fundy and off of Southern Nova Scotia, he was a member of the Atlantic Fisherman Herring Co-op, Grand Manan Fisherman's Association, New Brunswick Fisherman's Board, the Oddfellows Lodge, Southern Cross Lodge #16. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Ellis), one daughter Mrs. Rebecca Ingalls-Fleet (Colin) of Grand Harbour, two grandsons Clein and Colby Fleet, four sisters, Jean Kissner (Nichlos) of North Dakota, Kathleen Janes (Harvey) of Saint John NB, Daisy Annis (Paul) of Calais Maine, Roberta Lee Pettipiece (Terrance) of Port Rowen ON., also three brothers Howard (Beulah) of Grand Harbour NB, Owen (Mae) of Seal Cove NB, and Henry of Arizona, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son Turner and one brother Walter. Visiting hours will be held at Ells Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and the Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church on Thursday, November 27th, 2003 at 1 PM with Rev. Howard Anningson officiating and the interment to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
