ROMESKIE, Christopher "Beeker" April 12, 1974 - February 1, 2004 Christopher died on a beautiful Sunday afternoon while backcountry skiing on Cayoosh Mountain near Pemberton, B.C., with his wife to be, Nicole, and a friend, Andrea (Andie) Osborne. The snow gave way under his feet forcing him to jump over a 120m (400 ft.) cliff. He landed on his skis but his body and spirit parted on impact. Christopher was cremated and his ashes will be spread in his favourite mountains including Font Romeu, France, where he spent one year at his maternal grandparents. Left to celebrate his life are his fiancee, Nicole McKay, his parents, Julian and Beatrice, his brothers Gregory and his wife Janis, Lars and girlfriend Jenn, his sister Lara, his maternal grandmother Mamita Cauchois, and his aunt and uncle Martha and Dean Yager. A memorial mass followed by a celebration of Christopher's life will be held on a date to be announced shortly.
