S/L H. Graham (Bill) CD Air Force Police Marshall, RCAF Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, February 6, age 90. Predeceased by his loving wife, Jennie Caroline. Loving father of Keith, much loved father-in-law of Louise, of Stittsville. Cherished "Grampy" to Skye (Doug), Sharon, Gordon, Leslie (Danny) and Tracey (Wayne) and of 10 great-grandchildren. Served with the RCE 1928-31; PPCLL 1931-35; RCAF Aux. 1936. He re-enlisted RCAF 1939, initially serving in Canada. After commissioning, he was proud of the role he played during the design and approval of the RCAF Tartan. Posted in Halifax, he made over a hundred crossings of the North Atlantic as a Trooping Conducting Officer and was awarded the Atlantic Star. 1946 saw him posted to Calgary as CAdO and Deputy Asst. Provost Marshall. He continued in the RCAF Security Branch, becoming the Air Police Marshall in 1954. After retirement in 1961 he became DChief of Police (and Public Safety), East Kildonan, MB. Upon reorganization, he was appointed Fire Chief. Later moving East to be with family, he became the first Director, Ontario Government Protective Services (OPP) until retirement. Moving to Ottawa in 1977, he taught law and security at Algonquin College. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, details to be announced.
