On Sunday, February 9, 2003 at the age of 98 years. Wife of the late Wladyslaw. Dear mother of Wanda Skrobecki (Slawek) and Janina Ogrodnik (Tad). Loved grandmother of Tadeusz Skrobecki (Bogusia), Anna (Clive Armitage), Nina Skrobecki, Conrad Ogrodnik (Lucie). Great-grandmother of Christopher, Nicky, Camilla, Corina, Emily, Alexander, Nicholas and Kai. She will be sadly missed by family and friends in Canada, the U.S.A. and England. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Carleton Lodge - Nepean Village Unit for the loving and compassionate care given to Maria over the past years; also to the two Barbaras whose regular visits she greatly enjoyed. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Prayers at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Hyacinth's Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. Private Interment. donations to the Nepean Village of Carleton Lodge or to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated by the family.
