GHOBRIL, Issam passed away on Friday, April 25 of heart failure at the age of 55. Predeceased by his father Joseph Ghobril. Loving father of Joey (Kim Mendham), Adele, Elie, Adonis, Mike Fulga (Hanna Vialaluna) and Maryanne (Frank Dimuzio). Devoted husband of Mina. Cherished brother of Elias (Norma Ziade), Siham (Kareem Besharah), Elham (Nasry Kiami), Jeanne D'Arc (Mahrous Chamoun) and Leila (Oussama El-Mohtar). Survived by his mother Adele. Sam emigrated from Lebanon in 1965 making Ottawa his home. He was an entrepreneur throughout his life opening successful pizzerias and restaurants from Gatineau to Hull and Ottawa. He has touched many lives with his generosity and kindness, making friends out of customers and people he employed. Friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. Charbel's Maronite Church on Monday at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery. Sam will be sadly missed by all familty and friends.
