Surrounded by family on August 13, 2003 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Basil Johnston. Loving and devoted mother of Barrie (Betty) of Navan, Norma Wells (David) of Nepean and Myrna Kelso (David) of Navan. Cherished grandmother of Laurie Bakker (Dennis), Kenneth Harrison (Pamela), Heather, Tracey (Todd Schreiber), Penny, Shawn Kelso (Jane), Kimberly Keenan (Russ), Jimmy Kelso, Michael and Dawne Wells and great-grandmother of Roxanne, Shane, Ben, Emily and Britney. Predeceased by sister Myrtle and brother Percy. Also survived by her sister-in-law and friend Joyce Petrie. Fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the St Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Thursday, August 14, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, August 15 from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Navan, Vars United Church, Navan, Ontario at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Navan Vars United Church Memorial Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
