LAJOIE-At LGH Mitton St. Site on Friday, June 13, 2003, JEANNETTE (JEAN) LAJOIE, nee GAUTHIER, age 81, of Sarnia has been called to her Lord and Saviour and His Holy Mother Mary of which, Jean spent many years praying novenas in their honour. Beloved wife of the late Emile Lajoie (2000). Loving mother of four daughters Madeleine Lajoie (family: son, Jean-Francoise Raymond (his son Matheo); son, Michel Raymond of Ottawa); Caroline (Lajoie) Szabo (family: husband Les of Sarnia; daughter, Teresa Szabo of Toronto; son, Leslie Szabo and wife Heather of Vancouver; daughter Lisa Szabo of Sarnia); Patricia (Lajoie) Sparks (family: husband Mel of Sarnia; daughter, Julie Sitzes (daughters Kaeli, Rebecca, Jessica) of Corunna; daughter, Cheryl and husband Todd Smith (children: Kirk, Erika, Holly) of Corunna; daughter Christine and husband Craig Nickels (son Chase) of Sarnia); and Irene (Lajoie) Williams (family: husband John of Sarnia; daughter Michelle Gray and husband Cam (son Justin) of Sarnia; son, Christopher Knudsen (son Mitchell) of Napanee). Sister of Ronald (Rita) Gauthier; Fernande (late Gordon) Lalonde of Ottawa; late Aurel and Helen Gauthier of North Bay. Predeceased by parents Omer and Caroline (Rochefort) Gauthier, formerly of North Bay and grandson Stephan Worsley, of Sarnia. Jean and her husband Emile were active in the Golden Age Group, St. Thomas Aquinas Church and the C.W.L. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 N.Christina St. Sarnia, Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 895 Champlain Rd., Sarnia.
