PROULX, Léopold Allen The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Norbert and of the late Adèle (née Poirier) Proulx. Beloved husband of Cécile Proulx (née Denis) of Hanmer. Predeceased by his first wife Albertine Proulx (née Guimond). Loving father of Carole Belcourt (husband Daniel) and Claudette Proulx both of Aylmer, Québec, Daniel Proulx of Montreal and Léo Denis (wife Rita) of Hanmer. Predeceased by his son Lucien as well as 10 babies at birth. Dear brother of Marguerite (Mrs. Raoul Potvin) and Raymond (wife Adrienne) both of St. Charles, Garnier, Quebec, Joseph-André "Jos" (wife Jeannine) of Rimouski, Louis (wife Paule-Huguette) of St. François Xavier, Reverend Sister Desneige Proulx, O.S.U. of Peru and Gerard (wife Odile) of The Pas, Manitoba. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Gerard, Lorenzo, Jean-Baptiste, Pierre-Paul (wife Natalie of Rimouski), Emile (wife Jeanne of St. Charles Garnier, Québec), Benoit (wife Françoise of Meathpark, Saskatchewan), Marie Louise, Reverend Sister Rita and Reverend Sister Colombe de Jésus. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Hélène, Roxanne, Sophie, Nathalie, Stephanie, Vickie and by his 2 great grandchildren, Chantal and Natasha. Mr. Proulx was a retired Millwright, local 1425 with 30 years service. Léopold was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, council 5005, St. Jacques, Hanmer and also a member of "Club d'Age d'Or. He enjoyed woodworking and playing cards, especially a good game of cribbage. Léopold leaves behind many friends in the Valley as well as in Alylmer Quebec. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570, St. Joseph Street, Hanmer, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jacques Church, Hanmer.-10/1/2003-ID2713551
