PETERS, Barry B. 1954-2003 Peacefully at home on Monday, December 8, 2003, surrounded by his family, after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. Barry will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend Merrietta (Rita); children, son Gavin Greig (Sandra), daughter Kim Bartraw (Troy) and his most precious gift in life, his grandchildren Rachel Craig, Ethan Craig, Gavin James Greig and Lillie Bartraw. Survived by his father John Peters (Blanche Hinchey) of Glenburnie, and brothers Ron (Monica), Shawn (Laurie), Rob (Barb) and Brian (Pety), sister-in-law Mary Day of Stirling, brother-in-law Lawrence Trudeau (Phyllis) of Burlington and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Thereasa Peters. He was such an amazing "Po ppy". Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (Counter Street at Highway 2) on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held in Holy Family Parish (Weller Avenue) at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2003. Rite of Committal Cataraqui Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
