Boyd Nichol CAMPBELLTON, NB - The death of Boyd Nichol of Campbellton occurred on April 29, 2006. He was 51 years of age. Boyd was the son of the late Hazel Nichol (Keough) and the late Walter Nichol. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Currie; his daughter, Heather; sisters, Marilyn Hanley (Fred), Sharon Hickey (Gary), Julie Seliske (Mike) and brothers, Jim Nichol and Bill Nichol; and many nieces and nephews. Boyd will be remembered for his gentle wit, his loving and warm nature, his devotion to family and the strength of his character. At the time of his death, he was employed at the AV Cell Mill in Atholville where he had worked for 33 years. He was a gifted athlete, playing on many winning hockey teams and on baseball teams that were inducted into the Bathurst and the Campbellton Sport Halls of Fame. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed curling and skiing. He coached the Sugarloaf Senior High School Girls' Junior Varsity Basketball Team. He loved his family and friends, the Restigouche River and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The funeral will be held from First United Church in Campbellton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3rd.
