Margaret Fodey, 73 Margaret Mary Fodey died at Brockville General Hospital on May 16, 2006 at the age of 73. She was born in Marlborough Township on April 21, 1933 to her parents Morgan O'Neil and Mary Roach. She married John Fodey in Merrickville on Dec. 28, 1957. Mrs. Fodey worked at Automatic Electric, RCA and the Metropolitan store and as a homemaker. Her interests were her family and family gatherings, reading, doing puzzles, playing cards and trips to the casino. She loved her flower garden when she owned her house. Mrs. Fodey lived for several years on McAuley Road in Prescott before moving to Prescott Place in Nov. 1998 and then to Mayfield Retirement Residence in Oct. 2005. She is survived by her sister Betty Ferrel of Toronto, sisters-in-law Faye, Shirley and Lucille O'Neil of Smiths Falls, Regena Gavin of Gananoque and Joan of Gananoque and by her best friend and sister-in-law Patricia Warren of Prescott. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Benedict and Pearl Fodey, brothers Charles, Thomas and Denis O'Neil, sister Patricia O'Neil and brothers-in-law Edward Gavin, Ernest Warren and James Reid. Visitation took place at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, on May 18, 2006. Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Mark's Catholic Church on May 19. Father J. Appelman officiated; readings were done by her nieces Glenda Reid and Brenda McFadden. Pallbearers were Braden Dukelow, Garry Dukelow, John Gavin, Foch Healy, Barry Reid and Gordon Warren. A committal service was held at St. Mark Cemetery on May 19. Memorial donations were directed to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
