CECCARELLI, Gino "Shamis" In loving memory of Gino "Shamis" Ceccarelli, 83 years old of Copper Cliff, who passed away Friday morning December 9th, 2005 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, with his wife and children by his side. Born in Copper Cliff, he married Reta Lugli in 1961, in Sudbury. He was a devout Catholic who served and attended St. Stanislaus Church. Gino was a member of the Italian Club of Copper Cliff and Knights of Columbus, council 3909, Rev. J.E. Regan, Walden. He was recognized for his outstanding contribution as a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross Society, Arthritis Society and Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie Catholic Charities. Gino will be remembered as a "legendary figure" in the produce business. He was well known for his great sense of humour, wit and gift of storytelling which he shared with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father and Nono, to whom he leaves a rich legacy of love, goodness and heartfelt memories. He always said "my children are a gift from God and so wee his grandchildren". Son of the late Cincinato and of the late Vincenza (nee Franchini) Ceccarelli. Beloved husband of Reta Elenor Ceccarelli (nee Lugli) of Copper Cliff. Loving father of Paul Ceccarelli (Sandra) of Sudbury, Mary Ann Ceccarelli of Calgary and Ann-Marie Langevin (Fern) of Hanmer. Predeceased by his son Richard. Dear brother of Benny Ceccarelli (Zena), Also "Chic" Ceccarelli (Ida) and Alda Guiseppi (late Sam) all of Sudbury. Dear brother-in-law of Fred Lugli (Mary), David Lugli (E.J.) and Sharon Oreskovich (Matt). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Julia, Joseph, Paula and Ashley and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre Dame), Sudbury, Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, December 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, 78 Balsam St., Copper Cliff.
