Therien, Sarah Beth SARAH BETH THERIEN 1er Novembre 1973 - 17 juin 2006 C'est avec grand regret que nous annonçons le décès paisible de Sarah Beth, le 17 juin 2006, à l'hôpital général d'Ottawa, après un brève maladie. Sarah Beth est décédée dans la 32e année de sa riche et belle vie, entourée de sa famille et ses amis. Elle va être profondément regrettée par sa mère, âme soeur et grande amie Beth (Bowie), son père bien-aimé Emile et son frère chéri et aimé Christopher (Diana) et ses adorables nièces Isabella, Ava et Alexa de Malton, New Jersey; ses grands-mères Lillian Bowie et Helene Therien et son ami et compagnon très spécial, Derek Deavy. Sarah Beth fut prédécédé par son grand-père maternel Jack Bowie et ses grands-parents paternels: Rene Therien et Ruth Therien (Knox), son oncle Rene et une bonne amie de la famille Therien, Lizzie Kerrigan. Sarah Beth sera aussi regretté par plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines et ami(e)s à travers le Canada et le États-Unis ainsi que par ses employés et ses associés au Conseil Canadien de la Sécurité. Sarah Beth a travaillé longtemps au Conseil Canadien de la Sécurité où son objectif de carrière a été de faire de ce merveilleux pays une place sécuritaire pour tous. Elle y est parvenu de nombreuses façons! Nous nous rappellerons toujours de sa générosité, son esprit d'entrepreunariat, sa compassion et son constant souci pour les personnes dans le besoin et démunies. Merci aux pompiers, aux policiers et aux ambulanciers qui ont immédiatement prodigués des soins à Sarah Beth. Un merci également au personnel dévoué et attentionné de l'unité des soins intensifs de l'hôpital général d'Ottawa. Parents et amis se réuniront pour les visites à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE McEVOY SHIELDS, 235 Kent Street, le mercredi et le jeudi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La messe des funérailles aura lieu en la Basilique Saint-Patrick, le vendredi à 10h. Sarah Beth passed away in the thirty-second year of her full, productive and happy life surrounded by her loving family and friends. She will be sorely missed by her mother, soul mate and wonderful friend Beth (Bowie), her adoring father, Emile and her cherished and loving brother, Christopher, his wife Diana, and her admiring nieces, Isabella, Ava and Alexa of Marlton, New Jersey, her grandmothers, Lillian Bowie and Helene Therien and her special friend and companion Derek Deavy. Sarah Beth was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Jack Bowie and her paternal grandparents Rene Therien and Ruth Therien (Knox), her uncle Rene and Lizzie Kerrigan, a great friend of the Therien family. Sarah Beth will be fondly remembered by her many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends across Canada and the United States and also by her fellow employees and business associates at the Canada Safety Council. Sarah Beth was a long time employee of the Canada Safety Council where her career goal was to make this wonderful country a safer place for all. In so many ways she succeeded! She will be always remembered for her generosity, her entrepreneurial spirit and her never-ending concern and compassions for those who are underprivileged and disadvantaged. Thank you to the fire fighters, the police and the paramedics who immediately responded to Sarah Beth's needs and for the caring, compassionate and wonderful staff of the Intensive Care Unit of the Ottawa General Hospital Friends and family may gather at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home 235 Kent Street on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be in Saint Patrick's Basilica on Friday at 10:00 a.m. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
