LAURENCE, Karen Elizabeth (nee Oickle) - In loving memory of Karen Elizabeth Laurence (nee Oickle), 47 years, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006. Beloved wife of Richard Laurence of Azilda. Loving mother of Laura and Glen both at home. Dear daughter of Carroll and Emma (nee LaRocque) Oickle of Azilda and cherished granddaughter of Edna LaRocque of Sudbury. Dear sister of James Oickle of Ottawa and Linda Fildes (husband David) of North Bay. Special sister-in-law to Norman Laurence (wife Lorraine) of Sudbury, Marc Laurence (wife Denise) of Azilda and Michel Laurence (wife Nathalie) of Chelmsford. The family wishes to thank everyone for their care and support during Karen's stay, especially Paul and Joan Malcolmson, Mike and Jeanne Jakubo, Paul and Karen Barna and a special thanks to the 8th floor nursing department at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Karen was born in Sudbury and married Richard Laurence in 1981 in Azilda. As team leader in the linen department, she was a devoted worker with the Sudbury Regional Hospital for the past 25 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and the good times they spent camping with friends at Marten River. She was a great cook and was very proud of her children. Karen will be sadly missed by all of her many relatives and friends. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, April 8th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Glen Laurence Trust Fund or the N.C.R.F. would be appreciated. (Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. on Saturday).
