STARK, Marjorie Stuart (nee Beattie) Peacefully with grace, at 92 years, on April 17 after a brief illness with her greatest fan and loving daughter, Katita (Katharine) Stark at her side at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Science Centre. Family, relatives and friends will miss her warmth, love, charm and sense of humour and drama. A native of Ottawa, Marjorie graduated from the Ottawa Ladies College and was elected head girl in her final year. After a successful audition, she studied in London, England and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was the dynamic, loving and supportive partner to her husband, William G. Stark (Toronto, deceased 1980), who served in the Canadian diplomatic corps. They thought it an honour and privilege to represent Canada in Belgium, Holland, Peru, Brazil, and USA. Special thanks to the staff at The Balmoral Club and latterly Leisureworld O'Connor Court, her homes in Toronto over the last ten years, and to the staff at Sunnybrook for their care and kindness. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 22 at 12:30 pm at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge St. (N.E.,St. Clair). She will be buried in Ottawa at the Pinecrest Cemetery with her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to where she was a volunteer for many years at the hospice for The Ottawa Maycourt Club, 114A Cameron Ave., Ottawa, Ontario, K1S 0X1 (www.maycourt.org), or to the Scholarship Program, Albert College, 160 Dundas Street West, Belleville, Onatrio, K8P 1A6 (www.albertc.on.ca).
