McCARROL, Phyllis Ruby Thomasina "Aunt Phyllis" Peacefully at the Perley Rideau on Thursday June 29 at the age of 90. Pre-deceased by her parents Eleanor & Clifford and brothers Clare (Bette) and Ross (late Ruth). Loving sister of Barbara McLellan (late James), wonderful aunt to Kathleen (John), Mary (Bruce), Rhonda (Sean) and Tim (Solange) McLellan and to Karen (Glenn), Judi (Steve) and David McCarrol. A great aunt to many. Phyllis, always with a twinkle in her eye had travelled the world -- she will be missed by many friends who affectionately referred to her as "Aunt Phyllis". Many heartfelt thanks to the residents & staff at the Perley who made her feel at home for the past 8 years. Funeral services will be held in her hometown of Gravenhurst, Ont. on Tuesday July 4th. The family welcomes her friends to attend a gathering to be held in Ottawa at the Perley Rideau Veteran's Home on Thursday July 6th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perley Rideau Foundation (Arts & Crafts Program) www.prvhc.com as Phyllis was a proud artist and enjoyed many years with her silks, watercolours and oil paintings.
