Robert BRADLEY

Robert Bradley, 28 Robert Andrew Bradley, 28, passed away peacefully at home with his family on July 6, 2006. Robert was born in Brockville, Ontario on July 8, 1977 to Isaac and Claire Bradley. He attended Central Public School and graduated from South Grenville District High School. Robert held a part-time job at Burger King where he worked in the kitchen. Robert inspired so many of us with his joy for life that transmitted wherever he took his smile, a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that made everyone else laugh. He entertained us with his sense of humour and wit. He showed us strength and courage as he faced an inoperable heart defect that would not put limits on what he would accomplish in his life. Robert enjoyed swimming, mini-golf, pool, video games, going to scary movies with Larry, basketball and listening to his favourite song Everybody Wants To Rule The World, and his all-time favourite interest was wrestling, an interest he shared with his brother Michael. Robert was well known for his practical jokes and cheating when it came down to winning or losing. Robert loved his family and friends, including his life-long friend Brenda (Myers) Darling with whom he enjoyed many precious moments and his high school buddy Jason Mullen. Jason and his family treated Robert as one of their own with Sunday family dinners, regular outings and surprise birthday pool parties. Robert was admired by many, and we will never forget this life that brought us laughter and joy. He is survived by his parents Ike and Claire Bradley, his brother Michael and half brother James of Sudbury. He is also survived by Aunt Helen Campbell of Kingston, Aunt Denise Beaudoin of Levis, Quebec, several cousins and close friends. Robert was predeceased by grandparents Isaac and Grace Bradley and Adrien and Simone Beaudoin. Friends paid their respects at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott. A beautiful service was celebrated at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Sunday, July 9 with Rev. Ian MacLean officiating. Robert's life was remembered through beautiful tributes delivered by his friends Jody Kendall and Larry Darling. Robert's cousin Erin Harris played the violin and sang Amazing Grace. Honourary pallbearers were Jason Mullen and Brenda (Myers) Darling. Pallbearers were Robert's friends Jason Arcand, Jason Beckstead, Larry Darling, Luc Fais, Andreas Tornow and Peter Vreeswyk. Interment took place at Blue Church Cemetery, where 29 balloons were released to celebrate Robert's life. Donations were directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
