OSBORNE, JANE - Jane Osborne of Saint John widow of the late Walter Osborne passed away Sunday December 3rd, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex, NB in 1919 she was the daughter of the late Georgina Bernice (McFarland) Laird-Howe and George Henry Laird. Jane is survived by two sons Leonard (Betty) Osborne of P.E.I. and Bruce Alphonse "Al"(Glenda) Osborne of Shelburne, ON; one daughter Mary Jane (Dwight) Ouellette of Saint John; daughter-in-law Nancy Osborne of Saint John; four sisters Eileen Sullivan of Saint John, Effie Martin of Nerepis, Margaret Bannister of Ontario and Ruth Thompson of Saint John; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents Jane was predeceased by her son Walter "Sonny" Osborne and a Granddaughter Kimberly Osborne; three brothers James, George and Percy and six sisters Ada Ring, Ann McCaffrey, Mary Melanson, Marie Brown, Georgina Achorn and Edna Sullivan. Jane had been in Toronto and Shelburne for the past 4o years she loved plants and flowers and enjoyed knitting and baking. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424). Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
