Georgie Helen Sears 1929 - 2006 SACKVILLE, NB - Georgie Helen (Farrow) Sears, age 77, of Sackville, N.B. passed away quietly, surrounded by her family and friends, from acute leukemia on Thursday, December 7th, 2006 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born on August 8th, 1929 in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late John "Jink" and Blanche (Beaver) Farrow. Georgie was an enthusiastic lady, who was loved and respected by all of whom had the pleasure of knowing her. She was faithfully involved with the Upper Sackville United Church and enjoyed swimming at Mount Allison University. She and Bob had enjoyed square dancing and were former members of the Tantramar Twirlers and she was formerly involved with the Girl Guides of Canada. Her presence will be extremely missed. Georgie will be sadly missed by her twelve children, Lillian (Kenneth) Trudel of Ottawa, Ontario, Robert and James of Sackville, N.B., Beverley Johnson of Halifax, N.S., Mary Fawcett of Sackville, N.B., Daniel of Moncton, N.B., Gladys (Robert) Estabrooks of Sackville, N.B., Marjorie (Terry) Bastarache of Moncton, N.B., Reynolds (Margaret) of Jolicure, N.B., Helen Sears of Dorchester, N.B. and Aileen Sears and Phyllis (Peter) Wheaton both of Midgic, N.B. She had been blessed with twenty-four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Edith Mitchell of Moncton, NB; and her brother, Jim of Camrose, Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her sister, Betty, BC; and her brother, Jack, Amherst, NS. Thanks and gratitude, on behalf of the entire family, go out to Dr. John Murray and all the staff of Sackville Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care in times of need. Your support over this last year is immensely appreciated. Also, thank you to Dr. Ronald Gregor, Cardiology; Dr. Ross Langley, Hematology and Dr. Ross Leighton, Orthopedics, at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Center in Halifax, N.S. for all their caring and expertise over the years. Thanks also to Erin and staff at Campbell's Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B.(364-8188). Cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, December 10th, 2006 from 2 to 4 PM at Campbell's Funeral Home. A celebration of life service is to be held on Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 at 3 PM from the Upper Sackville United Church with Rev. Gail Hopkirk officiating. Burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery. At the family's request, no flower donations please. Donations in memory of Georgie may be made to the Leukemia or Canadian Cancer Society, Upper Sackville United Church or to the charity of ones choice.
