BRENNAGH, Katherine "Peggy" Foster (nee Mitchell) Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on December 11, 2006. Peggy died from a stroke she suffered while still living in her own house in Ottawa in her 91st year. Wife of the late John "Jack" Brennagh for 55 years. Beloved mother of Barbara (Brian), Mike (Jill) and Patty (Karl). Loving grandmother of David (Kathy), Patrick (Rhonda), Chris (Sheila), Jeni (Markus), Kate (Kyle), Geoff (Helen), Anne (Bruce), Nick, Eric and Kristine. Loving great-grandmother of Keaton, Ellie, Conor, Colin, Reilly, Maggie, Liukkor, Maeve, Iakkia, Samuel and Leo. Predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Kate Mitchell and her sister Josephine. Survived by her loving sister Alta and her family. Peggy was born in Edmonton and received her B.Com from the University of Alberta in 1937. Her tireless volunteer work included C.G.I.T.; Guiding as a Commissioner; Save the Children-Canada; The Crystal Day School Swim Program and Bells Corners United Church. Peggy loved to knit, garden and socialize. She was always smiling and well liked by everyone. Peggy was most proud of her family and acknowledged to all that she had had a most fortunate life. She will be terribly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing her. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate that donations be made in Peggy's memory to Bell's Corners United Church, 3955 Richmond Road, Ottawa, K2H 5C5 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
