PETRILLI, Amelia (nee Frate) - In loving memory of Amelia (nee Frate) Petrilli, 90 years old, who passed away , November 5th, 2006 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph Health Centre. Beloved wife of Luigi Petrilli predeceased 1975. Loving mother of Tony (wife Jacqueline) of Whitefish Falls, Lina (husband John Lalonde) of Sudbury and Teresa (husband Krishna Ahuja) of Brampton. Cherished grandmother of Lori Ann (Lawrence), Tina (Dale), Carrie-Ann (George), John (Shelley), Louis, Luigi, Christopher, Simon, and great grandchildren Logan, Alessandro, Caelen, Lucas, Ethan and Gavin. Dear daughter of Nicola and Teresina Frate both predeceased. Dear sister of Giacinto and Oreste both predeceased, Vittorio of Ottawa, Florina (husband Antonio Plescia predeceased), Elda (husband Giacinto Campofredano) of Italy. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Teresina Yalenti, Marietta Papadopdt and Incoronata Varanese. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special friend Anne Delle Vedore. Born in Ururi, Providi Campobassa, Italy, where she married Luigi in 1939, moving to Canada in 1951. Amelia was an avid bowler, bocce player, she loved to play cards and was a pro at Euchre, Briscola and Scopa. She was a devoted bingo player and a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Her heart was in her garden watching over her flowers and vegetables. Amelia was a life member of St. Anthony's Church and CWL, which she loved dearly. She made beautiful crochet for her family. She was a great cook and her pasta was legendary. A strong person of great independence and resilience, overcoming many trials and difficulties in her new beginnings. Above all she loved her family, especially her great grandsons. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church 19 Mary St. Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 at 10 a.m. Entombment at the Civic Mausoleum.
