Mary Jane James June 31, 1948 - November 17, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Mary Jane James at 4 p.m. on November 17, 2006 at the Health Science Centre. Mary will be missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by parents; Tait French and Elizabeth James, and brothers; Oliver, Gordon and Harry James. To cherish her memory are brothers; Ernie, Robert and David James, Randy and Norman Thomas, Joe and George French. Sisters; Annie Henry, Betty James, Antoinette French and June Laroque. Daughters; Lisa Atkinson, Diane Myron. Sons; Larry, Carl, Harry and Conrad Atkinson. Grandchildren; Ieshia, Seth, and Tyrek Atkinson, Paris Henry, Dashia and Tsuania Roberts, Lexus Atkinson, Cody and Raven Atkinson. Mary will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary will be fondly remembered for her laughter and how she filled everyone’s life with her caring and sense of humor. She was employed as a caregiver for the Ginew Wellness Centre and will be sadly missed by the staff and the people she took care of. Traditional and Christian funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. on the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation. Burial services will be held at the community of Roseau Rapids. Charlie Nelson officiating for traditional ceremony and Peter Yellowquill, officiating for Christian service. The family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at the ICU of the Health Sciences Centre and the Morris Funeral Home and the Chief and Council for their assistance through this difficult time of sorrow.
