John Ivan Melvin CORKERY

REV. JOHN FRANCIS CORKERY C.SS.R. (1918 - 2007) — On January 23, 2007, in Toronto, Father Corkery passed away. He was in the 65th year of his priesthood. Those years were spent in parish ministry in Newfoundland, Quebec and Ontario. He leaves to mourn his loss, two nephews Christopher and Mark Doherty, their families, his Redemptorist confreres, and many close friends whom he mentored and spiritually guided over the years. Father Corkery was a beloved and compassionate pastor. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 141 McCaul St., Toronto.
