OBITUARY WILHELM JEMELKA Age eighty-eight, died on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Jewish General Hospital. Wilhelm Jemelka was born in Raab, which was then part of Austria-Hungary. He married Christine Streicher of Salzburg, Austria in 1942. They moved to Canada in 1952. After several jobs, a colleague and friend encouraged him to become an independent broker and a number of successful partnerships followed. He was active in several social organizations and a welcome guest in many others. He was witty, smart, entertaining, and his humor enlivened many an evening. He leaves his wife of sixty-five years, his daughter Christl, his son Jorg, daughter-in-law Katharine and grandchildren, Spencer and Christina, as well as a nephew Franz, niece Elizabeth and their families. He will be missed by his many friends, associates, extended family, colleagues and clients. His life touched many people. Special thanks to the compassionate, professional and dedicated doctors, nurses and orderlies of the Jewish General Hospital for their care.
