Roy (Bud) W. Ferguson CD Roy (Bud) W. Ferguson CD 76, of Riverview, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 12, 2007 after a short illness. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Roy and Isabell (Snyder) Ferguson Sr. Roy was a retired inspector with the Moncton Police Department (27 years service). He was the first official dog master (Caesar) with the Moncton Police Department who retired as Honorary Sergeant and was credited with many arrests and convictions during the course of his duties. Roy was the first Breathalyzer trainee with the Moncton Police Department and also a trainee on Bomb Disposal. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church, past president of the CN Pipefitters Association, past president of the Canadian Order of Foresters, Member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association, and former member of the Moncton Militia Number One. He was also a member of Moncton Legion #6 and a lifetime member of the Air Force Veterans' Club. Following retirement he enjoyed reading, watching television, and socializing with his family and friends. Roy will be sadly missed by his wife of over 54 years, Eleanor (Touchie) Ferguson; daughters, Kathy Stewart (Steve) Upper Coverdale, Susan Craig (Don) of Moncton; grandchildren, Lyndsay (Kirk), Michael (Natalie), Kate Keegan, Victoria and Lindsay; sisters, Sandra Stuart, Moncton, Joyce Ricker from Chilliwack, BC; and brother, Dan (Irene) Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Shirley; and brother, Sonny. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995), Sunday 2 to 4, pm. Funeral Service at Wesley Memorial United Church, St. George Street, Monday April 16 at 11:00 am Rev. Dr. Philip Griffin-Allwood officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service.
