GROULX, Pierre René - Est décédé le vendredi 4 mai 2007 au Centre Elizabeth, à l'âge de 82 ans. Fils de feu Louis et de feue Jeannette (née Sabourin) Groulx. Également prédécédé par sa belle-mère Marie-Rose Blais. Époux bien-aimé de Estelle Groulx (née Barbeau) de Sudbury. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses enfants, Michel de Calgary et Micheline de Coniston. Cher frère de Marie Bishop (John) de Chelmsford, Paul (Monique), Cécile Doyle (Rhéal) de Dowling, Alcide (Louise) de Drayton Valley, Alberta, Berthe McFarlane (Ken) de Port Alberni, C.B., André (Sherry) de Garson et Claire Parent (Jean-Guy) de la Ville de Québec. Prédécédé par ses frères et soeurs Jean, Gabrielle Lavoie, Bernadette Cashmore, Jacques (Dolorès de Kapuskasing) et Madeleine Chartrand (Raymond de Chelmsford). Il a travaillé pour Ministère du bien être social pendant 31 ans. Pierre était un ancien du Collège Sacré Coeur. Dans son jeune temps, il a vécu à Montréal oil a étudié le théâtre chez Les Compagnons de St-Laurent et la danse. Parmi ses nombreux intérêts et passe temps, citons le golf, la menuiserie, plusieurs voyages à Cuba, les chansons de Gilles Vigneault et les récits de Félix Leclerc. Depuis sa retraite, il occupait ses temps libres avec le saxophone, l'Espagnol, le tissage, ramasser des bluets et des fraises. Pierre anticipait la venue du printemps car cela signifiait le temps des semences de son jardin potager. Sa plus grande fierté a toujours été sa famille envers laquelle il a montré un amour sans limite. En plus d'avoir été un époux et un père dévoué, Pierre a été un frère, un beau-frère et un oncle bien apprécié par les familles Groulx et Barbeau. Il ne sera jamais oublié. Que son âme repose en paix. La famille recevra parents et amis à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE, 222 boul., Lasalle est, (angle Notre-Dame), Sudbury, mardi de 14 h à 17 h et de 19 h à 21 h30. La messe funéraire sera célébrée le mercredi 9 mai 2007 à 11 h à la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Coniston. Son of the late Louis and of the late Jeannette (née Sabourin) Groulx and also predeceased by his step- mother Marie-Rose Blais. Beloved husband of Estelle Groulx (nee Barbeau) of Sudbury. Loving father of Michel of Calgary and Micheline of Coniston. Dear brother of Marie Bishop (John) of Chelmsford, Paul (Monique), Cécile Doyle (Rhéal) all of Dowling, Alcide (Louise) of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Berthe McFarlane (Ken) of Port Alberni, B.C., André (Sherry) of Garson and Claire Parent (Jean-Guy)of Quebec City Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Jean, Gabrielle Lavoie, Bernadette Cashmore and Jacques (Dolorès of Kapuskasing) and Madeleine Chartrand (Raymond of Chelmsford). A “Collège Sacré Coeur'' graduate, Pierre worked for the Ministry of Community and Social Services for 31 years. In his younger years, he resided in Montreal where he studied theatre and dance at “Les Compagnons de St-Laurent“. Golf, woodworking, trips to Cuba, Gilles Vigneault's songs and Félix Leclerc's poems were but a few of his many interests and hobbies. After retiring, his leisure time was spent playing the saxophone, learning Spanish, weaving, and picking blueberries and strawberries. Pierre looked forward to springtime to start seeding his vegetable garden. His greatest pride and joy was his family to whom he was very devoted and his love for them had no boundaries. He was well appreciated and loved by the Groulx and Barbeau families and will be sadly missed by all. May his soul rest in peace. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Boul., E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday May 9th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Notre-Dame-de-la- Merci Church, Coniston. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society Day Care Sudbury or to the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron would be appreciated. 10641556
