M. Alfred Dionne d’Earlton est décédé le 9 mai 2007 à l’âge de 79 ans à la suite d’un anévrisme à l’aorte. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Ida, ses enfants: Bernard (Émélie Desbiens et enfants Myriam, Esther, Gabriel), Denis, Pierre (Janet Klawunn) et enfants Claire, Samuel, Annick, Martine), Joceline, (André Chaumont et enfants Monica, Édith, Félix, Maxime) et Serge (Annie Lantaigne et fille Ariane) et sa soeur Thérèse (Viateur Lauzon). Il était le frère de feux André, Anthyme, Désiré, Raphaël, Georgette et Gertrude. Les funérailles ont eu lieu le samedi 12 mai 2007 en l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste d’Earlton. Un don pour le Cat Scan de l’hôpital de New Liskeard serait apprécié. La direction des funérailles à été confiée à McDonald Funeral Home d’Englehart. Alfred Dionne died May 9, 2007 at the age of 79 at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital as a result of an aneurysm in the aorta after a brief stay in hospital. He was born in Earlton in 1927 to Aimé and Émilia (Allard) Dionne. Mr. Dionne was the co-founder and owner of Dionne Concrete Producers Ltd. in Earlton and retired in 1997. For several years he was a trustee for the French Catholic School Board, an avid astronomer, and was a member of the Temiskaming Astronomical Society. He was also involved as a scout leader, and a member of the Paroisse St. Jean Baptiste d’Earlton. He was predeceased by his parents; Aimé and Émilia; brothers André, Desirée, Anthyme and Raphael; sisters Georgette and Gertrude. He is lovingly survived by his dear wife Ida Dionne (Boileau) and four sons; Bernard (Émélie Desbiens and children Myriam, Esther, Gabriel); Denis; Pierre (Janet Klawunn and children Claire, Samuel, Annick, Martine); Serge (Annie Lantaigne and daughter Ariane); one daughter Joceline (André Chaumont and children Monica, Édith, Félix, and Maxime); one sister Thérèse (Viateur Lauzon). The funeral mass was held at the Église St-Jean Baptiste d’Earlton on May 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services conducted by Père Gilles Leblanc. Pallbearers are Laurent Boileau, Richard Boileau, Raoul Léveillé, André Chaumont Kelly Malette and Pierre Dionne. Burial took place at the Earlton Catholic Cemetery with many friends and relatives attending. In memory contributions go to the Temiskaming Hospital CAT Scan Foundation.
