David P. Legault of New Liskeard died suddenly on June 8, 2007. He was born in Latchford on June 11, 1939 to Antoine and Clara (Rozon) Legault. Educated at the Provincial Institute of Trades in Toronto, he was a barber for 42 years and was a partner in the Dave and Maurice Barber Shop in New Liskeard. He married Sheila Locke in New Liskeard on September 17, 1960. Mr. Legault was an avid hunter, fisherman and wood carver as well as golfer, having served as president of the New Liskeard Golf Club. He was also a member of St. Paul’s United Church. Mr. Legault is survived by his wife Sheila; daughter Laurie (Chuck) Cuncins; son Dave Legault Jr. (Karen Urban); brother George (Kay); grandchildren Lindsay, Megan and Michael. He was predeceased by his parents Antoine and Clara. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel with the service conducted by Reverend Wally Wood at St. Paul’s on June 12. Cremation has taken place. The family thanked all their dear friends, especially Brett and Judy Medland, the police and ambulance services and Dr. Percy. They also thanked Rev. Woods and the ladies of St. Paul’s United who supplied the lunch after the service and a special thanks to Perrin Funeral Chapel for their kind assistance. Relatives and friends attending the service came from Florida, Thunder Bay, North Bay, Timmins, Caledon, Toronto, Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie and Ottawa.
