PIKE, ARNOLD FREDERICK Arnold F. Pike of Temperance Vale passed away June 30, 2007 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a five and a half year battle with cancer. Born at Temperance Vale, NB in 1954, he was a son of Mildred (Turner) Pike and the late James Pike. Arnold was a great husband, dad, papa, son and brother, who will be greatly missed. He loved his family and his farm. Arnold is survived by his wife, Sheila J. (Trail) Pike; two daughters, Christa LaKing (Nic), Nackawic and Tammy Pike (Adam), Woodstock; his mother of Temperance Vale; two brothers, Dale Pike (Darlene) and James Pike (Bernadette), both of Temperance Vale; three grandchildren, Brandon Pike, Kori LaKing and Orlando LaKing; an uncle, Stanley Turner (Hilda), Newbridge; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Lorne. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sunset Church, 429 Clements Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Beesley officiating, assisted by Rev. Richard Bragdon. Interment in Temperance Vale Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Temperance Vale Community Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Gavel, Dwayne Boone, Leon Christie, Robert Sharp, Kevin MacFarlane and Yves Frigault. Active pallbearers will be Phillip MacFarlane, Waldo Pike, Victor Greer, Joe DesRoches and Renald Robichaud.
