OLSEN, Kathleen (nee Kearns) - died peacefully at home at age 60 on June 25th, 2007. She proved to be an inspiration and hero for many as she battled multiple myeloma for more than ten years with dignity, grace and humour. She was a beloved wife of Ron for 33 years and loving mother of son Christopher and of daughter Kirsten and her husband Istvan Mozes. Predeceased by her father Frank and brother Paul, she will be greatly missed by her mother Marion Kearns of Chatham. A treasured sister of Cliff and Mary Margaret, Marg and Werner Klaming, Patrick, Larry, Mary and Tilly Crotta, Bernie and Sue and Steve and Louisa. Dear sister-in-law of David and Carol, Howard and Michaela and Karen and Chuck Burch and daughter-in-law of Eva Olsen and the late Harry Olsen. As a dear aunt to all of her nieces and nephews in both the Kearns and Olsen clans; and a cherished friend to many, she dedicated her life to a career in nursing at St. Michael's Hospital using her RN and BScN degrees as well as her trademark kindness. She will be forever missed by all her family and friends – all of whom will remember her enthusiasm for life and her bright smile. The family extends their thanks to Doctors Donna Reece and Keith Stewart and the team at Princess Margaret Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. A celebration of Kathleen's life took place on Thursday, June 28th in Toronto.
