John TROOST

TROOST, John - Peacefully on Sunday, June 10th, John Troost, God's child was called home to his Lord. John Troost of Williamstown; age 78 years. Loving husband of Reina (Soetens) Troost. Loved father of Marjanne Meyer (Bruce), Allentown, Pennsylvania; Robert Troost (Anna Maria), Mijas, Spain; Eileen Martin (James), Chambly, Quebec; and Rene Troost of Williamstown. Dear brother of Ed Troost, Moonstone, Ontario; Henny Schuitmaker, Holland; and Titia Smith of London, Ontario. Will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Sylvia, Maryssa, Erika and Jayson. Predeceased by his parents Evert and Yke (Hoekstra) Troost. John was a teacher at Laval Catholic High School for 18 years teaching woodworking, upholstery, electricity and human and religious development. John learned his skill and passion in woodworking in Holland apprenticing with his father. He also served as an elder at Cornwall Christian Reformed Church as an elder for 7 years and was also a member at Montreal CRC Church. John impacted everyone he met with a smile, a joke, some advice or if you were blessed with a gift that he made with his hands. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall from 2 PM Friday, June 15th. Funeral service will be held at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11 AM. Visitation Friday 2- 4 & 7-9 PM only.
