Roy "Budd" MacKenzie 1927- 2007 Roy "Budd" MacKenzie, 80, formerly of Stoney Creek, NB passed away July 6th, 2007 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Borden, PEI, he was the son of the late Roy and Violet "Mim" (Wedlock) MacKenzie. Budd is survived by his daughter, Bev (David) Eger, Vancouver, BC.; son, Blair (Patti) Upper Coverdale; grandson, Brad, Revelstoke, BC; and granddaughter, Allison, Upper Coverdale, NB. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera; and their very best friends and 200 partners, Harry and Ruth Heckbert. For many years Budd was the general manager at Eastern Bakeries in Moncton until 1976 when he and Vera moved to Canso, NS., where he owned and operated a Red and White store for eight years. But work was only a means for Budd to be able to put gas in his plane. His love for flying was surpassed only for his love for his wife, Vera. He was involved for many years in both the Moncton Flying Club and the Havelock Flying Club. Thanks to the many friends he met through time spent in the air. Sincere thanks to all of the staff who helped at Spencer Memorial Home to make Budd's final days the best they could possibly be. In keeping with "Budd's" wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception for "Budd's" family and friends will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a foundation of the donors choice. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
