WILLIAMS, ERNEST A. - The death of Ernest Williams of Fredericton, NB occurred on July 6th, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB he was the son on the late John Walter and Louise (Lindsay) Williams and husband of the Margaret (Partington) Williams. Ernie was a WWII veteran, retiring from the military in 1945. He then took up a career as a shipping clerk with the NB Library Services. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Jean Stothart (Gilmore) of Newcastle, NB; step-daughter, Jean Pickel (John) of Saint John, NB; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as two great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Weldon "Bud" Williams. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, July 9th, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold a tribute service at 6:45 pm on Monday evening. A Memorial Service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
