JOHN A. SHEARER 1914 - 2007 Passed away at the Moncton Hospital on July 11th, 2007 at the age of 93 years. Husband of Marie (Tapley) Shearer of Moncton. Born in Fredericton Junction, NB, he was the son of the late John and Myra (Alexander) Shearer. He retired from the Board of Transport Commission as a civil engineer. A former member of the Beaver Curling Club, Centennial Lawn Bowling and also a past President and a member of F.S.N.A. He enjoyed gardening in his spare time. Besides his wife Marie, John is survived by his children, Nancy Shearer (Lea Hardy) of Ste-Genevieve, QC, John F. of Ottawa, Ont. and David of Oromocto, NB; two sisters, Flora Arthurs of Saint John and Lois MacIntosh of Vancouver, BC; 4 grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. By John's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family graveside service will be held at Gladstone Cemetery in Fredericton Junction, NB at a later date.
