ISHOJ, Marie (nee Buckley) - Peaceully in her sleep, Marie Ishoj, our mother, grandmother, mentor and inspiration, passed away on January 9th, 2007 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie in her 77th year. She was the loved wife of the late Albert. She will be sadly missed by her children; Robert and his wife Ann; Marney and her finacé Larry; Michael; Christina and her husband Mario. Grandma will be fondly and lovingly remembered by Charlotte, Emily, Yohanna and Antoine. Marie was born in Yorkshire, England and immigrated to London, Ontario in 1956, where she met and married Albert Ishoj. Trained as a speech therapist, she spent most of her professional career working in Richmond Hill for the York County Board of Education. After retirement, Marie moved from Thornhill to Barrie, where she enjoyed time spent with her new and old friends. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Heritage Place, 92 Dean Avenue, Barrie on Saturday January 13th at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. 10502463
