BURTON, William Garfield - Went home to be with the Lord and to be joined again with his beloved son Don, peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Thursday, January 11th, 2006. Garfield Burton in his 90th year, formerly of Oro Station. Husband and best friend for 65 years with Annie (nee Graham) of Barrie (Woods Park). Dear father of Audrey Richardson (Merv) of Dalston, Lynn Penley (Ted) of Oro Station, David Burton (Jane) of Wilberforce, Pat McConnell (Mike) and Graham Burton both of Oro Station and the late Donald. Remembered by Anne Burton of Barrie and Lorraine Burton of Oro Station. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Olive Mawdsley and Grace Clendenning and brother-in-law Bill Graham. Pre-deceased by brothers Dan, Charlie, Enver, Woodrow, Graham and Carl. A celebration of Garfield's life will be held at the Trinity Community Church, 7th Line of Oro on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception to share memories with the family. Interment of ashes Little Brick Cemetery, Oro at a later date.
