DE SILVA, Wallace Anthony - (Volunteer with the E.M.O., 40 years with the Navy League of Canada NLCC Chambly, Royal Canadian Sea Cadets # 53 Barrie, longtime member of the Army Navy Airforce Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, Recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal) - After a short illness at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, on Sunday January 21, 2007. Wally De Silva of Barrie, in his 81st year. Beloved son of the late Alfredo and Isobel Meunier of the Azores, Portugal. Loved husband of the late Marie De Silva (nee Kelly). Loving father of Bonnie De Silva of Toronto, Kim Seidl (Peter) of Honey Harbour, and Wayne De Silva of Barrie. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer De Silva - Corson (Tim) of Toronto, and Todd and Troy De Silva of London, Ontario. Dear brother of Trina Du Val (Danny) of Levittown, Pennsylvania, and uncle to Sandra Chamberlain (Keith) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. At Wally's request there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Lung Association.
