HAYNES, Albert Morley - Fondly called Morley or “Mo“ by his friends. Morley had respect and passion for the beauty of nature and the out-of-doors and regarded Canadian wilderness as his personal church where he could reflect on things that mattered most to him. He had a great respect for others, beliefs, feelings, culture and ideals, and though he may not have always agreed, would evaluate everything on its own merit. He was regarded by many as a true gentleman, believing that an educated man could express himself without the use of foul language. He was proud of his independence and never wanted to bother anyone or put them out in any way. Like many of us, he never achieved greatness nor fame, but those he walked with for his brief time were touched by him and will remember him for his gentle nature. His request was that he be cremated and that his remains be interned beside his wife Winnifred at the Barrie Union Cemetery upon his grand-daughter's return from Australia. He is sadly missed although he will always be remembered by his son, Robert and wife Janis, his grand-daughter Tracy and all those that made a difference in his life. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation through the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR Funeral Home, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie L4N 3B5 (705-722-6656).
