HOPPER, Catherine Campbell - (Longtime Member of Eastern Star)- Passed away peacefully in Barrie on Thursday, February 1st, 2007. Catherine (nee Kerr) of Barrie in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Hopper. Dear mother of Anne Black and her husband Bill of Barrie. Devoted and loving grandmother “Nannie” of Tracey Gillen and her husband John and Amy MacMillan and her husband Michael and adored by great-grandchildren David and Jenna Gillen. Pre-deceased by her brothers Jamie, Alex, Duncan, Charlie, Archie, John and Dougald Kerr and by her sister Flora Dalton. Catherine will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Norma Kerr of Parry Sound and by her many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR FUNERAL HOME, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Saturday, February 3rd at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. An Eastern Star service will be held at 12:45 p.m. Cremation with spring interment of ashes in Richmond Hill Presbyterian Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Collier Street United Church or to a charity of your choice.
