MacINTYRE, John (Ian) Peacefully in hospital on July 3 at the age of 85. Born Paisley, Scotland. Far East veteran, Burma Star, World War II. For many years, X-ray engineer serving hospitals throughout Ontario. Longtime radio amateur in Scotland and Canada. Survived by Margaret, his wife of 61 years and his children: Jane and Wendy in Ottawa, Jacqueline in Toronto and Robert in Burnaby. Thanks to the staff of the Geriatric Assessment Unit and Ward of the Ottawa Hospital for their sensitive and compassionate care. Private family arrangements for cremation and memorial service planned for later in the summer. Donations welcome to Total Communication Environment, Unit 5, 203 Colonnade Road S., Ottawa K2E 7K3, which provides services for Jane and other autistic adults.
