ANDERSON, James Keith In Hospital with his family by his side, Friday July 6, 2007, age 82. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Keith was the only son of the late Nicol and Isabella (Kettles) Anderson. Cherished brother of Marion Anderson, of Ottawa. Father of Kathy Bourlon (Guy), grandfather of Ryan and Kelly Bourlon all from Regina, Father of Carol (Max Miner), grandfather of Tara Anderson all of Ottawa, Father of David (Kathleen) of Calgary, grandfather of Sarah Inglis (Michael) of Edmonton, Christina Grant (William) of Calgary and James Keith Anderson of Calgary. Keith was extremely proud of his 35 years of distinguished service with the Ottawa Police Service, retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 1986. Two of Keith's proudest moments as a retired police officer were first when he presented to his daughter Kathy her badge at her graduation in 1979 from the RCMP Training Depot in Regina; Kathy is presently still a serving member of the RCMP. The second moment was in 2006 when Keith presented to his granddaughter Tara Anderson her badge as she followed proudly in her grandfather's footsteps as an officer in the Ottawa Police Service. Keith was a proud member of the Masonic Order of Canada. He was rewarded for his dedication and service to his Mother Lodge Chaudiere #264 and Masonry in general with the honour of being awarded the Wilson Mercer Wilson Medal by the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. The family of Keith Anderson would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Redwoods Retirement Residence for making Keith's four and a half years there so enjoyable. As well to the staff of the emergency room and in particular the nursing staff of the ICU at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for making Keith's last several days so comfortable and dignified. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue (west of Carlingwood) Sunday July 8, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday July 9, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held in the Chapel Monday July 9, 2007 at 7 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday July 10, 2007 at Trinity United Church, 1099 Maitland Avenue at 11 a.m. Interment at Capital Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m. In memoriam donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. logo Published in the Ottawa Citizen from 7/8/2007 - 7/9/2007
