DALE, June Melville (nee Rae) 1927 - 2007 Passed away July 7th, 2007 at The Hospice at May Court after a short and courageous battle with cancer. June will be lovingly remembered as the matriarch of the family by husband William Edward (Ted) of 58 years, son Jeffrey (Trish) daughter Paula Patterson (Graydon) and her 3 grandchildren who she dearly loved Rebecca, Alexander and Peter. June will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. During her career she was a pioneer employee with Amnesty International Canada for 21 years. She was a lifelong volunteer who gave back to the community in many ways, as "A Friend of the Farm", volunteer at St. Mark's Anglican Church, and a canvasser for many local and national charitable organizations. June is survived by her sister Lois Taylor (Harry-deceased) and brother Garry Rae (Marilyn). Predeceased by brothers Edward Rae (Irene) and Thomas (Sonny) Rae (Barbara). Survived by sister-in-law Fairlie Sills (Herb) and brother-in-law David Dale (Daphne) of Richmond, BC. Predeceased by brothers-in-law George Robert Dale (Margaret/Joan), John (Jack) Dale (Dorothy) and Ralph Dale (Mary/Beverly). The family will receive friends at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1606 Fisher Avenue, on Thursday July 12, 2007 after 11:00 am until time of Service at 11:30. A celebration of June's life will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark's Anglican Church, The Hospice at May Court or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
