STYLA-DEER, Mary Wahsontiiohstha. Aged sixty-eight years on Sunday, July 8 passed away suddenly after a brief illness, with her family at her side. Formerly of Kahnawake, Mary is the daughter of the late Tommy Deer and Charlotte Paul. Predeceased by husband Raymond Styla and survived by four devoted sons: Ray Jr., Thomas, Christopher and Currie. She also leaves behind to mourn her beloved grandsons Christopher Jr. and Matthew and daughter-in-law Tammy. Her loss will be felt deeply by family in Kahnawake, sisters Sheila (Eddie), Melanie (Peter) and brother Chester (Angela). She will be remembered lovingly by many relatives and friends. Resting at the Allore-Martenson Funeral Home, 23620 N. Huron River Dr., Rockwood, MI (734) 379-9311 beginning Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Funeral service will be held in the Ford Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12 followed by the burial beside her beloved husband. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 7/10/2007
